Our Story

We are a (very) small company based in Calgary, Alberta specializing in small-batch, handcrafted, artisanal marshmallows. Every item we make is made with quality and the freshest ingredients. Since everything is made by hand, no two are alike! This gives them a wonderful quality!

Our marshmallows are naturally gluten-free but are not vegan due to the use of gelatin. Please note that some of our flavoured marshmallows contain gluten, so please read the description carefully.

All marshmallows are made to order in small batches to ensure quality and freshness, so please allow additional time when placing orders.

We are always experimenting with new flavours and testing combinations to make the best possible marshmallows. Follow us on social media to discover the newest flavours! Don't be afraid to throw out your own ideas, it just might make it on the list!

I admit, I love sugar! The idea for Mallow was originally born in 2006. My desire to create beautiful and delicious treats, however, stayed with me all these years. I love spreading joy to my friends and family and what better way to do that than by adding some sweetness to our lives. Nothing is as special as a handcrafted treat, built with the taste profile in mind of the person receiving it. So let's be friends!

It is National Hot Chocolate Day … so of course here is my versions of it. I like to use best ingredients possible to make my hot chocolate. Start with your preferred milk, skim, full fat or my personal go to is plant based milk. Next add some good quality milk or dark chocolate (you know I love my @master_chocolat), dark and rich cocoa powder, dash of cinnamon, vanilla bean or splash of extract. If you like it a bit sweeter add a little honey for some depth in flavour. Whisk it over low medium heat, ensuring it doesn’t burn until you get it to your desired temperature. Of course no hot chocolate is complete without mallows or mallow fluff along with some sprinkles cause you know always go that extra mile! #nationalhotchocolateday #mallowmood #marshmalkows #hotchocolate

Not gonna sugar coat it... being a mom is hard. I always wanted to be “the perfect mom”, the one that knew exactly what to do, what to say, the one who did it so effortlessly, you know ?! But then I eventually realized that just “being their mom” was enough. Motherhood has thought me so much about myself, mostly the fact that I have no idea what I’m doing. It’s been an adventure full of love, laughter and also many tears. I also learned so much from my own Mama, who thought me compassion, patience and most selfless love there is. To all of you moms and moms to be, mother figures and those who are yearning to be moms, you are all amazing and wonderful and I hope you are all appreciated and celebrated today and everyday. Hey there, I am new here. It is way overdue to tell you a little about me. So hey, hello, hi, and welcome! Thank you for following along and supporting me 😘I wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little about me and this little sugar journey I ❤️ so much. Hi, I’m Erma! 👋🏼 I am a mama to 2 girls and my fur baby, wife, friend, and HR boss. I live for beach vacations. California is my happy place and Paris is my love language! Let me start with this simple fact, I admit it… I love sugar! The idea for Mallow was originally born in 2006. You must be wondering... but what have you been doing for the last 15 years? Well, I’m an HR professional by day and sugar addict by night/weekend. My desire to create beautiful and delicious treats stayed with me all these years. For so long, I craved a creative outlet. I am a perfectionist and my biggest critic (hello Virgo!). So, having something, put out there, representing me was terrifying. Sugar is my jam, all forms of sugar, I don’t judge. Most of my free time I spent baking treats for friend and family. I was told a few times by my husband that I am sabotaging his diet. So that’s when Mallow was officially born earlier this year. It was time to spread the love of treats to others. But seriously, it took a little more (ok a lot more)… like lots of encouragement from friends and family helped too. Staying at home for the last year only made things more apparent that it was now the right time. Sadly, no Mexico or California soon on the agenda, so this only means more mallows. I am so exited to learn more about you and always open to ideas on what to create next. So let's be friends! 💚
